Time for art - would be nice

At least I am increasing my photo library and one day, I may get to paint this stunning view, taken on the way to Portsmouth. It was noisy there (just off the motorway) but a rare moment of calm in my hectic life.

Last week I exhibited at Art on the Pier and sold 2 pictures and some cards - which was brilliant! It was quite exhausting standing there for two days, especially with the amazing weather but I had fantastic support from my family and friends which made it so much easier. I had some great feedback as well from Sally who bought Squares I:

I thought you might like to know that squares I are now up in my hall having bought them on the pier on a spur of the moment. The curtains are going to have to go!!!

So I painted some more small ones on canvas (as I was asked) for last weeks art market and then only sold cards - very frustrating!

One more art market to go, on Sunday 19th December.
Have decided to try these small pictures in EBay as they are painted on canvas and easy to post.

I actually sold two small seascapes last months so have painted some more and a couple of the 'pebble' pictures as they seem to to attract attention! I also managed to paint one of my more wacky ones - just for the joy of it!

It was so cold but feel cheered by the great feedback received and selling pictures always helps. The small surfer picture and View of the IOW along with Beer II. Makes me feel inspired to do some more small photo montage pictures.

I have booked a stall at this new market, in the centre of Winchester (Middle Brook Street) with the aim of selling some pictures - fingers crossed! I have been going back to my love -the more surreal stuff that comes to me in dreams! I have four on the go, this one is finished!

I started a new painting on the weekend and what joy being able to paint outside!

The first base coats are all down and I had the usual interruption with the joy of feeding my fish:

But got to the stage where all the base coat is down and now the detail work begins......

The craft Fair went well and I met some really lovely, interesting people who gave me some great ideas, which I am following up on, including making approaches to some galleries - exciting stuff!

I have been tweaking my web site with lots of help but slowly getting there with it - learning curve!

Wow I have a blog that links to my web site -with thanks to a very dear friend!

I was privileged to be living on Jersey (on and off) for the last two years and as I reluctantly carted my personal belongings back to the UK (with the help of my little sister and with the amazing support of my family) I realise what an artistically inspirational place the island was! Now I have a dozen or so Jersey pictures that are currently sitting in my lounge, which I would like to sell off! Any reasonable offer accepted!
